We are so close to wrapping up this unprecedented school year and welcoming in what we hope will be a rejuvenating summer. We are grateful for the partnerships we have with students and families! Please read our Distance Learning Express (for May 21st) and then also read below for further information.

  • Stratman is continuing to check in library books – and we have nearly 200 books still checked out. If you have a library book at home, please bring it with you today or when you come to CES for your grade-level day so we can get it checked back in!
  • Here is our plan for families (your child plus up to two other “guests”) collecting belongings, saying goodbye to current teacher and having a brief opportunity to say hello to next year’s teacher:
    • Thursday, May 21st – 3rd Graders
    • Friday, May 22nd – 4th Graders
    • Tuesday, May 26th – 5th Graders
    • Wednesday, May 27th – We will have a Reverse Parade for our 5th Grade Continuation. This even will take place through our front entrance loop from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. We really are hoping for as close to 100% turnout as possible so we can send our amazing 5th graders off in style! Families of 5th graders, please be looking out for more information coming Friday and Tuesday to ensure you have all the details.

On those days, teachers will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and families will make an appointment at the time that works best for them using a Google Calendar Appointment setup: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/selfsched?sstoken=UUVGYTNKRXpFVW85fGRlZmF1bHR8ZTFhODk0N2VmMGM3NjhmMjczM2Q2MzE1ZTRmZDBkMmI

We’d also be happy to help you get signed up. Just reach out to your child’s teacher or Mr. Renfrow.

  • Lunches will still be available each non-holiday weekday though May 29th. After that, please also be aware that we’ll continue to have Food Bank of the Rockies food bags available each Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please take this survey to help us ensure we have enough food available for families this summer as well: https://forms.gle/S3QqPwMWtJG1gYXz9
  • This year, we are not hosting our normal Pre-K/Kindergarten Registration Extravaganza this year, but we do want to ensure that all families with soon-to-be kindergartners are getting registered for next year. Please go to deltaschools.com to register your child using our online registration system. We’ll have more information soon about when we’ll be able to provide a tour and you can meet your child’s teacher soon.
  • Registration for the 2020 Summer Reading Program Opens May 16! – Delta County Libraries presents the 2020 Summer Reading Program “Imagine Your Story.” Children, teens, and adults are invited to join us for a summer of stories, take-home activities, virtual programs, and a reading challenge.  Track your reading to win a t-shirt, gift certificate, book or another prize.  All kids who complete the program will receive a free t-shirt.  Registration opens Saturday, May 16.  Register online at deltalibraries.org.  Thanks to our major sponsors, Kiwanis International and Bank of Colorado, along with our Friends and Foundation, no registration fees apply.
  • Once again, here are the hours that we will have someone in the office to answer the phone: Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • If you need to reach someone outside those hours, please email Mr. Renfrow (renfrow@deltaschools.com) or call him on his Google Voice number – 970.812.3018.

We are here and eager to help anyway we can!
